Hi

Firstly thanks for all the advice, I would never had been able to grow anything without your combined help.

I was briefly over the moon as my Swiss chard looked super tasty. But now they seem to have a bug/maggot like thing growning the leaves and killing them. Also making them look unedible!

Does anyone know what this is and also how to get rid of it quick or are all my Swiss chard a done for? Help please?

That will be beet leaf miner then.  Remove the bad leaves and squish anything you see.

I've had leaf miner on my chard this year too. Do as Lardman suggests and they'll be back to looking super tasty very soon

Thanks for the advice. Bad leaves gone And squishing commenced. Is it okay to eat the other leaves if they don't look infected or will I get beet leaf miner growing in my belly?

I would say its safe to eat if it looks ok. Mine look dire

As the chard will be cooked I presume, I'd just think of any beet leaf miner you have missed as extra protein!

If you can't see any damage, they're fine to eat.

Even if by some chance you ate one - it would do you no harm
