can you use Virkon s in a slurry for redmite instead of poultry shield?

Hi Folks

Discovered today that I have the dreaded red-mite. I'm out of poultry shield and can't get hold of any for a couple of days and need to get this sorted asap because I am back in work on Monday and won't be able to get the coop dry by hen bedtime if I do it after work. I do have Virkon S. If mixed to the correct dosage can it be used in a slurry with DE instead of poultry shield? If not I'll spray with Virkon S tomorrow and DE it next weekend when the Poultry Shield arrives.
