im growing some sprouts and the leaves are enourmous so they look all crushed together they are starting to get little sprouts so could I chop some of the lower leaves off but not the stalk to tidy up a bit ?

The leaves are the plant's food factory and you should only take off yellowing leaves as they have run their course.

Sprouts need space, how far apart do you plant them?

I think a bit too close I might pull up a couple there is 9 plants .

You need at least 2 feet, preferably more between plants.

You're gonna have a lot of sprouts to eat! We had 6 plants and there was no way we could get through all the sprouts...I've cut back to 4 this year.

its my problem I allways cram in to much of my small plot I think I will cut back to 5 luv sprouts , I lost some of my lettuce as they have swamped them , thanks for the help .
