Lift all early spuds at once?

I only lift first earlies as and when I need them, because the taste is better when they're fresh, and the skins don't 'set' on the potatoes, making them easy to scrape, or just wash then cook them. The only first earlies I've ever grown that got too large before I could use them were Rocket. They were lovely and early, but rapidly grew to the size of small boulders.
