I've seen it all now, not content with eating the plants on my plot something has chewed a hole in the seaweed extract bottle.  Needless to say the seaweed extract has all run out.  Look!

I had a bag of seaweed meal in the greenhouse and the mice nibbled a hole through it. Not sure if they actually eat the stuff but they certainly enjoy nibbling everything they can get their teeth into.

Rats probably weren't after the contents.... they just love to nibble plastic!!

The bottle was lying on top of a pile of canes which is itself suspended in a trough of weldmesh hanging from two posts, about two foot off the ground.  Not that this would be any barrier to a rat, just astonishing how thorough they are in exploring their territory to find things to chew on!
