Right thats it they are going, how long is a crowns lif span then.
These were new at the end of 2008

I have read that it can be as long as 20 years . . .   what variety are they ?

You can sow some seed BQ & then in 4 years you can start harvesting again. I've just potted mine on from my sowing last year. You will have to use a different area to plant them though from where these ones are now  ;)

I wont bother, its not been my favourite crop and I think the ground is best used for something we actually like eating.

I know asparagus is a posh veg but its just not my cup of tea  :lol: I'd rather have extra beetroot  :wub:
