We had light rain for a few hours yesterday but not enough to make a lot of difference

It was getting dusty around here too but we had a decent amount of rain yesterday afternoon / evening. You really can see the response in the plants this morning, much happier  :)

We had lovely warm sun this morning but it is now pouring buckets with big rolls of thunder. The brassica seedlings out on the balcony are going to be a bit flat and flooded

We had a good three inches yesterday had to empty all the trays to stop my seedlings drowning, the garden looks so much fresher and greener now

Light wimpy rain here over a few hours. Not enough to even fill my water butt, so probably no more than half an inch. Disappointing. A 20 minute downpour would have been nice. Still, enough to give the new seeds and seedlings a bit of a chance for a few days, and makes for slightly better digging. I'm always amazed how much benefit plants get from proper rain, as to a manual targeted soaking.
The odd few showers forecast in the next few days, and the odd band of rain. Nothing nasty or untoward, so I mustn't grumble. Forgetting the obvious Winter deluge, the Spring/early Summer has been very kind so far.

Just down the road and it's been hammering down for a few hours now. I don't think either of us will need watering cans for a bit!  :D

Think it's going to rain here later. My clay soil is finally looking good after no rain for over a week, gone from soaking to nicely moist!

Same problem here. Spent yesterday desperate to be outside and putting finishing touches on beds to get everything finally ready to go for planting everything out. But 5 cm of rain plus some hail put paid to that. This morning, stuck at the computer, looking at the bright sunny skies but knowing that more rain is due.

If it doesn't rain today it will be a hosepipe job this evening. Again.
