On its final warning is Asparagus.
Spring Onions were placed on the red list last season & they are now officially extinct.
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.

Allotment holder since 27th May 2007.

Another one for spring onions. I would love to know how the market stalls here have mountains of perfect spring onions and radish, grown over winter with lettuce.

Please can you pop over and pigeon pie my pigeons too? And the green parrots and the rooks and the squirrels and rabbits, and the mice ( if DD is right and they've eaten my peas!). Slug pie wouldn't be nice would it!

I've given aubs the sack. I do love them but they are such divas.  I gave my allotment blackberry an ultimatum. Fruit or else. It had been in the plot since 2005 and done nothing.  It perked up and for two years has fruited with super-abundance. I think they must need time to establish and reward you when they are.  So, don't be too hasty with your trees and shrubs.

I have been eating store bought redcurrants this week (my husband bought them, not me)  and they are really tangy on a dessert. Yum.  I read a few posts back that someone doesn't know what to do with them. Eat em would be my recommendation  :tongue2:

This is my first growing year, so there's nothing to give a warning to yet.

By the end of the season, probably everything will be on the list.

I know the feeling MalcW. Every time I put things on a final warning they thrive.

I hate to say it, but tomatoes.  Actually I should have geven them a red card last year, but I love them so much.  I don't have a problem with growing them, or their even fruiting, but they get blight-struck every single year.

This year I'm going to try spraying them (not sure if you can still use Bordeaux mix in the UK, but we can still use it in France, so I've been stocking up).

I'm also wondering about the wisdom of even trying aubergines, given that I don't actually like them as a veg... but I like the plants lol!

Seeds: verbena bonariensis and foxglove.  Both no shows through two goes.  If they don't get a wiggle on, they are oot!
The foxglove has taken note and has produced quite a few teeny tiny leaves, but the verbena bonariensis is sterner stuff and has produced one seedling!

Leeks. 2 years running I have got them to chive status and no further. Spinach gets to 2-3 leaves then dies.

And summer purple PSB, which has just sat there each year and eventually turned into normal winter PSB. Though there are many casualties along the way.

I'm too new at all this to have anything else on the red card list.
