I was amazed to find a micro sponge pud that is wait for it suitable for Florence BUT it doesnt work completely and I need some help.
The recipe is as follows
110g SR flour
50g sugar
1 level tsp baking powder
100ml water
60ml veg oil
1 tbsp golden syrup or jam
The recipe actually tastes ok seen as its allergy free.
The instructions
In a pyrex bowl, put the flour, sugar, baking powder
Stir in the water and oil, mix completely until a smooth mix is achieved
Pour syrup into the middle of the mix, it will sink to the bottom.
Cover with clingfilm and microwave on high for four mins.
Leave to stand for a few mins and turn out on a dish
PROBLEMS.
The mix stuck to the bowl on batch one.
The jam didnt sink.
Batch two we mixed in a seperate bowl and greased the one we cooked in. We also put a layer of jam on the base of the bowl.
PROBLEMS
The jam worked well on the bottom but the sponge mix still stuck.
Help anyone please. The mix is edible which is something to hold onto in this allergy land. I really want to aort this. Would it be better baked. I cant do another batch tonight as we have munched two already and I feel sick
