If you mean in growing it as a leaf crop, then yes about three years ago we had enough for a meal or two.

It does also make decent 'bean sprout' style shoots that taste delicious  ;)

I found a spring onion and turnip curry recipe that sounds interesting and uses them ! so wondered if I could grow them  :D

The fresh leaves don't have the same pungency as the dried ones, I've grown it as green manure.  Grab a box of methi leaves from your local supermarket for a quick fix, I use a lot.

You are right there, but I liked the texture of fresh --- like a more fragrant spinach really

I grow it in small patches where I can get at it easily. It doesn't seem to grow as strong as the stuff you get from the Asian grocer but it's worth growing all the same.

Methi, the dried fenugreek, is a more concentrated version of the fresh but I still wouldn't be without the fresh

I grew it as sprouting seeds and found that it made my urine and sweat smell peculiar. Apparently it does this to some people...a bit like asparagus.
