Very soggy here today too, nearly went AoverT doing the chooks this morning, our mud is very slippy. Had to send OH to get the kale for lunch....seeing he is using the very expensive wellies I bought myself for my new life.

Using up eggs in baking today, so far three batches of bread dough in waiting, cherry and almond cake made, kale and cheese pie in the oven (yes really, delicious!) and all the ....er.....seasonal cake weighed and ready for later. :D

Need to find a recipe for apple chutney...or jam...or something.................

Our chook run is pretty sodden too tosca :(
We found some stray paving stones so at least they have a dry-ish paved area where their food and water is now :)

Morning all. Been awake since 5am. so got up and the beef in the oven. Might as well get on with the cooking for aged mothers birthday party.

I wanted to postpone after all the rushing around and chaos with my son's emergency op, but little sister said we could do it.

WE!!!! >:( She said she would do it. I just needed to tell her what to do!  In explicit detail giving the page numbers of the recipe books............................ or she would do dome sandwiches.

Decided to do it myself as it would be easier in the long run.
Thought I would have time but still having to run around after son and DIL becaue of their lack of heating and washing machine.

And I expect mum will find something to have a go at me about. Think I will just take the food and keep quiet.  What ever I say is never right these days. I seem to be the one she takes out her frustrations and unhappiness because of dad being disabled.

Never quite sure whether I will  get hugged or yelled at. Even Mr Bee notices and said I am very good not to resort to violence.

have a good day all.

I'm making party food myself today Mrs Bee :)
Best friends youngest' naming day ceremony at 3 pm. I cooked 200 cocktail sausage rolls yesterday and today when I get back from body balance I'm making about 200 sandwiches :D

Good luck with your day Mrs Bee :)

So do I. I bite it so often t is permanently sore.

I am hiding here so Mr Bee will go and do the washing up and clear the  kitchen while I  give my ankle a rest.

I have to admit to feeling my age and despite it being only 10 past 6 I am ready for bed.

Thanks for all the kind wishes guys.

Devon you are a really lovely friend. 200 sausage rolls and sarnies. Respect. 8) 8)
You would have been in our gang in the playground. ;) Enjoy the day and don't spend all your time in the kitchen.

Wow that is still a great amount of work Devon. You can definitely join our gang. ;)

Morning all.

The wake up gnome has been biting at my toes since 6 am so had to get  up. Really wanted to just have a lie in and listen to the radio on the headphones but too much to do this morning.

Back into the kitchen to finish everything for this lunchtime.

Any mushroom clouds sighted over North East London will be me not biting my lip.

Have a good day all.
