Morning all a tad late I know    off to deliver wedding cake today then I have the rest of today and all day tomorrow to go on the plot. Have missed it this week not being able to go up there was torture

Morning all. Feeling a bit better this morning. Apart from sorting and reducing the courgette plants I have no idea what I am doing today.

Morning Tosca, lots cooler here today but won't get to the plot . Sewing clubs annual garden party this afternoon, & a trip into town with hubby this morning,oh what joy

Morning Tosca and Snowy. No gardening here unless the rain stops but lots of housework to be done. Just trying to persuade myself to get wrapped up to sort the hens. And nearly forgot - got an early visit from the plumber to fix our loo.

So much for good intentions...though we have not been given rain all week it is raining now, big heavy drops. Unless the sun comes out there will be no gardening as the mud is like an ice rink.

Plan B...carry on processing the produce the neighbours keep giving us (as if we haven't enough!) and do something with the watermelon handed to us at 6.30 this morning!

I'd make a start on eating that watermelon or I think Jamie Oliver filled it wit vodka & froze it then served in slices, could you do rakia?
I've made a courgette & chocolate cake, used the rest of the grated courgette in pakoras. Then will make a courgette frittata later to take to the garden party. Guess what I have a lot of? No prizes for 1st pm.

I'm going to try drying some of the watermelon if I can find somewhere to put the dehydrator where I won't forget. Last time it went in the back bedroom full of tomatoes and onions and I forgot it till three days later. The onions wer OK.

The courgettes are enjoying this weather so much they are galloping off like the squash have. Thinking of asking Tesco if they need a new supplier of butternuts

Oh poor you.    It might be August but it was very chilly in the rain and wind last night and I put the CH on.  Spent an hour in the dark helping OH make the sunflowers more secure - they survived the night. Nearly forgot - good morning everyone.
