Belated good day to you all. Just got back from a car boot sale, temps mid thirties so dead on our feet and a poor turnout of paying customers for a record turnout of sellers means hardly worth it. Stll, had a good giggle with a friend who owns a nursery and that's worth a lot. The prices would make you weep, all home reared , very healthy perennials 70p ish each going up to £1.50 for large single plants. Good to have friends.

Feeling a bit rough this morning but from lack of sleep rather than too much rakia. Had a lovely time next door, but some guests were not there till 9.30 and the family didn't get there till 10.30. They had driven back from Italy where they had been to a funeral and hit holiday traffic all across the journey back. The son in law and his brother looked exhausted and it shows their dedication that they came over to see Venka when they live nearly an hour away. Birthdays are not really celebrated as they are in the UK. I was right when I thought there would be more than rakia, there was salad, followed by a huge rice stuffed pepper, potato and for the others, very meaty meal with fresh bread, followed by the first melons of the year. (The fact that we gave them a melon before their's were ready was discussed :D)  And rakia. Home by midnight.

Rather late again this morning, didn't get up till 6.40 after yet another sleepless night. Incredible storm again but this time it went on for hours so Bonnie was in a state and we kept each other company while OH snored and the other dog dreamed her way through the night. It's like living in a tropical rain forest this year, the humidity is very unusual in the middle of the country. Day in today, far too muddy to do anything in the garden.

Good morning, just looked at the long range forecast , rain is on its way here on Friday, but it has said we would have rain several times in the last few weeks, but it must have missed the bus.

Morning Tosca and Dugless - we had rain overnight but not as heavy as you Tosca. Just enough that I do not have to water the garden. Hens all fed and watered so just thinking about brekkie for me (and OH).  :D
