Up early again here, washing now pegged out, ready to go to the plot for a few hours before yoga at 1 pm.
A woman's place is in her garden.

Busy busy so far, a load of plum jam re-boiled as it wouldn't set yesterday....and I realised when I went to bed that I had forgotten to double the sugar for double the plums....Idiot!

Made a couple of loads of bread. Brushed and mopped. Had someone come for five young cockerels.....they have them to scratch the spare land and keep it weed free. Suits us! Someone coming at 11 for the last one. Also managed to palm off a big bag of French beans.

Couple of cakes to make and some pastry. Then....

Lazy day

Up at six to let the hens out then went for a walk along the beach - it was really warm and I was in short sleeves.  :D  Going to be another scorcher.

Oh that's so easy to mix up on when doubling recipes. I've learnt the hard way to write it all down before I start, cos  if I get interrupted it goes horribly wrong

Morning all - hens sorted but too lazy to go for an early morning walk today. The forecast clouds are gathering and it is slightly cooler so far today. We really need the rain - the grass is going brown.  :)

Morning hubby on an early start so he brought me a cup of tea before he left, very thoughtful of him though a lie in would have been nicer  :nowink: more watering to be done this morning which between the plot and the garden takes me about 2 hours, then it's more roses and blossoms while watching the commonwealth games.  :D

I know I'm not the first up as I've seen a post from Tosca . Awake at around 4am but managed to stay abed til 5:20. Will get the washing out in a minute & maybe reboil my gooseberry & mint jelly that didn't set the other week, last years didn't have a firm set either but it's kept well, so I've been putting it off.
