Bit of rain overnight (road surface looks wet outside), otherwise cool and still.
It was really windy yesterday.

Weelll, it' coming up to mid day here in BG. I had a lie in till 7 as totally knackered, but have paid for it since. It has rained heavily over the past week and we have been unable to do too much in the garden as the soil here is either so slippy and sticky you have heavy boots in seconds, or you sink! So this morning, with a break in the weather, had a wander looking at really healthy triffidy weeds and came across the potatoes, three plants smothered in Colorado beetles and larvae. Into the septic tank they went. >:(

Baking today for car boot tomorrow, and picked carrots and 6 of our lovely eggs for a large cake to sell in bits. Once it was cooking and smelling good I was tidying up and came accross the oil, 300mil should have gone in the cake. What a waste of our own produce!

What next? That is the last lie in I am having!!! :(

Morning all. Been up a while now, so I have already done the weekly shop at Aldi. Getting our young daughter ready to go to swimming club later. :)

No bacon Butty this morning Miggs?? how disappointing was looking forward to remembering the smell and taste. I never seem to have bacon in the house. Must rectify that.  :D

Third drama of the day, we finished our lunch in the garden and as OH got up he looked accross the wall and yelled at me to get the camera. There, trapped in the wire of the chick run, was a five foot snake! He had to cut it out...it wasn't happy.

The cake looks great, but will be mega dry I expect, despite the carrots and fruit. Feeling a bit stupid.

I am going to cut it once cold and see how dry it is. Could market it as fat fee cake I suppose.

Too hot and sticky to stay in bed this morning.  I'm going to have a coffee or two, wake up gently and then toddle off to work and water the plants before the customers get there.  I love watering, so its a nice relaxing start to the day  :D

Have a good day, News! I agree about watering, it's almost therapeutic!

The dog wanted to go out at 4.50 this morning, but it's looking here good from now on!

Best wishes!

Morning all. Going to try and get an early start on the plot today as we want to finish the doors and windows on the shed. It looks to be a lovely day so fingers crossed it stays that way.  :D
