Hi has anyone any advice about Pheromone traps for plum tree,I have a new victoria and greased it before winter but do not know what else to do to keep my plums safe from bugs.

There are plum moth capturing devices available (from G.C.s), I used one last year to good effect.  A triangle of green plastic with a yellow plate inside suspend it in your plum tree.

As well as glue bands, I used pheromone traps on my fruit trees last year and I was very impressed with them (I got mine from e-bay)  I also hung (home made drinks bottle type) wasp traps up on the plum tree which worked well too

i'm new to growing fruit, just put some tree's in this year.

what do you mean by greasing the tree? and what does this stop?

Hi ,Thanks for the reply's sorry for the delay in responding as I'v been away,I'm a bit wiser now. Does anyone know when is the best time to put the traps in place.
