seaweed as mulch
« on: March 01, 2014, 23:31 »
Just read an article in the RHS magazine were a couple have an allotment overlooking the beach. They say they take seaweed off the beach and use it as mulch. I wondered if it would be worth filling a bin bag next time I am at the beach. They say that the salt doesn't seem to give them any problems and that there site get some sea spray anyway.

Anyone heard of or tried this, what do you think? Any plants I shouldn't use it on?
My favourite weed is a raspberry ;)
