Chilli & pepper sowing times
« on: February 28, 2014, 16:32 »
Hi I've only just sowed these today  I did mean to do it earlier.. I sowed late last year & had no success though I think it was towards end of march.  Am I really late in getting these in? Has everyone sowed theirs already?

You're really late.

I did mine yesterday!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

This time last year mine were still in the packet   Sowed them mid March, and they still gave a decent crop  :)

I've never had much success with them so I sowed on boxing day this year and then given them 24 hours a day lights in the grow box. Just been potting them on today.

Quite a few too many I think!! They were still crowded in their germination modules so they are now in singles.. A few weeks in these and then will pot them into bigger 3"pots. They have no extra light now as my grow box is full of show onions!! They can survive in the conservatory for a few weeks..

planted tomatoes chillis and pepper about 2 weeks ago. tomatoes are up, some of the chillis are just showing, but I didn't plant them until mid March last year, still had a good crop though. Mid feb to mid March is pretty much the norm.
who pinched me marrow?

I sowed mine about two weeks ago but I don't have any grow lights and it hasn't exactly been sunny so they aren't looking the greatest. Might have to sow some more.

Hoping to do them tomorrow.  Hampered by a nasty dose of the flu.
