Poor wee Nugget (I shouldn't have named her) had to be PTS this morning. The vet said she was severely thin, she wasn't eating for me, couldn't walk and my hens rejected her so it was too much of an uphill struggle for her and we should call it a day.

RIP sweet girl  :(

Aww I am sorry, you did your best for her. :(

At a guess, the former caring owners knew she had a broken leg and didn't want the vet fees and didn't want to do the decent thing. :mad:

Poor lil' girl! :(

When my new girl arrived I took the head bully out out for a while each day - she made friends with the others quickly in her absence. It was a gentler process.
One grandma and 4 baby Pekins.

awww sorry to hear this has a sad ending but you definitely did all you could for her, the actions of some people are just beyond belief sometimes  >:(

at least she isn't suffering any more

no doubt the cruel owners will go get a new one and then throw that one out when they are fed up of it  :mad:
