Doing some planning and need advice 're where to plant.  I have a bed I was going to use for either beetroot or turnip.  It had horse manure added in the autumn.  Should I avoid this for beetroot or turnip. Thanks

Can't see any problem for either crop.

Both of those are swollen stems, rather than true roots, so manuring the bed last autumn shouldn't pose problems.  They don't go so deep into the soil or 'fork' when they hit lumps, like carrots or parsnips  :)
