If you're going to try them, perhaps you'd care to tell Muls what they are - this is what we're trying to find out! I've been (sorry) to Jersey many times, but never come across any bean specific to Jersey.

"Jersey beans" are what are locally referred to as the inhabitants of the island.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Gosh - with the jersey bean crock thing this is difficult to pin down - this link seems to fit the bill:
http://www.brownenvelopeseeds.com/product-p/jersey-dwarf.htm

- I haven't heard of this company before so can't give any recommendation - I'll continue scouting the 'tinternet as I'm now intrigued.

Cheers,

Search result gives me this from Unwins:
"Buy Jersey French Bean Seeds | Dwarf French Bean Seeds at Unwins
Jersey is a mid season French Bean Variety with 12-14cm long dark green pencil pods with a crisp texture & delicious flavour! These Dwarf French Beans also freeze well."

The actual link ends up a bit generic though

They are definitely not pencil ones, I saw that from unwims, but if you look at the packet it says maxi or something similar. The other looks more likely but they are flatter than shown.

Hi balders the green ones are like french beans the other ones are more like the borlotti bean, borlotti are grown mainly for the bean itself dried, then eaten  or even fresh, thats how the italians seem to like them (dried).Darren
