Got my first egg
« on: January 30, 2014, 20:14 »
Got my first ever egg today from one of my little polish chickens. It's pure white and I keep having to remind myself it's not a boiled and peeled egg every time I go into the kitchen.

I just need to talk myself out of getting some ex batts now - morehens is such a terrible disorder

I had planned to soft boil it and make some toast but I stupidly left it on the kitchen Worktop last night and my dog has reached up and eaten it!!! Gutted but hopefully it's the first of many

Oh dear, didn't you even get chance to take a photo? You need to let the dog know what a privilege it is to be able to eat the first egg, and how he owes it to you to be a very good doggy. :D

Just had an omelet with our first 5 eggs.
The first egg laid was double yoked.  :D
