I will try the adding to soup one, that's something I hadn't thought of, I make soup all the time.
The adding unsalted chutney or reboiling entails investing more time and money to buy ingredients (I've only got leeks producing at the mo, although... leek chutney? Worth thinking about) so may not be worth it, when I have about 20 jars of other chutney to use before next season.
