I am so sorry I hang my head in shame for thinking SBA need to just pull themselves together.  I have just ordered Kral turnip rooted parsnips and Cherokee Trail of Tears beans from USA...

Daughter last night whilst cooking "Dad do you want the seeds from this yellow pepper" having already previously tempted me with Red and Green seeds last week.

It would be rude to refuse and they are drying out nicely on a plate - and I can check on them daily until I bag them - UMmmmmmm Seeeeeeeeds give one such a warm glow  :nowink: :nowink: :nowink:

Hello, my name is Snoop and I'm an addict too.

I posted a query about two types of cabbage yesterday, some people have looked at it but nobody has answered. So, my solution is to buy both on the grounds that I'll be able to answer my own query and satisfy all those other people's curiosity.

I must admit that yesterday I chucked out a lot of old seeds and others that people had given me that I will never grow or try again. And how did I feel: elated at all the room in my seed box just waiting for new packets to fill.

I have developed a strategy to seed buying but in fact I suspect it might be fuelling my addiction: I have started doing checks across various suppliers to see what they have, the prices they charge, how many seeds per packet and how much they charge for postage. At least this way my seed purchases are less random, but it does rather keep me glued to suppliers' websites. I hesitate to call it seed porn but that might be the appropriate term!

I hope you put all the information on a spread sheet? You could produce a 'Which' report for us.

I am not to sure I should post this, as it does indirectly encourage further seed purchase ....

..... do not throw away seeds of anything remotely brassica like, or root crops, celery, celeriac, or herbs as you can sow these very thickly in shallow trays and use the small plants at the first proper leaf stage as microgreens.

Peas and beans can be used as shoots too, only not so  'micro'

Less waste than throwing them out, and even those out of date may well have sufficient germination to succeed like this  :D

I'm so glad it's not just me!! We've just bought a new house which means easy garden access rather than shleping up to the allot and so I've gone weird and wonderful! I've just ordered: yakon, trailing strawberry spinach(I'm allergic to real strawberries so I hope this might work!) cucamelon, purple and green tomatillo and I'm debating fat babies! HELP!!

Just wondering whether 'I must just try a couple of this seed potato' is a variant of SBA or a separate complaint....
