Have to agree with totty, been seed shopping and some prices do seem higher and I found it a good idea to compare like for like across the seed companies. :)

premier seeds have stayed the same as last year.

quick and cheap delivery. also come in nice neat little packets that are a lot easier to store.

Yep I think I'm with you on patchy rises across suppliers. I do believe that I shall have a look at Premier Seeds for next year. But then again - I'm a great one for seeing what's in the sales.

I just picked up a few packets at 39p in Aldi...only basics but cheap enough...they also had a selection of flower seeds as well

Yep sometimes some of the cheap and cheerful are as good as any. Trouble is that if you want something not on the cheap and cheerful range because you like it, things change. Also if you want rather more than are in those cheap and cheerful packets ....

Swings and roundabouts innit? Being someone who grows stuff that is more expensive in the shops, the cheap and cheerful range doesn't always do it for me. But that's just me being me.

I've just come up against a patchy supply of cheap and cheerful. Range in the local garden centre - fewer seeds in the packet which is fine if you don't want loads of a particular crop. Trouble is that a lot of us have found that this particular range will germinate or not as the packet feels like it and have gone back to the more recognised brands.

Anyone else had any experience of "Country Value" range?
