Shed finished apart froma few bits and bobs, like a coat of wood treatment and a gutter.

Sounds as if everyone had a very busy productive day. All I managed was planting a few sweet-peas along side the potato bed. Not a great achievement but better than nothing.  :)

Yesterday, planted two red currants and two white currents.  Planted 4 tomatoes outside these were getting a bit on the big side so I buried them deep and placed a bell cloche over the top so I may be lucky I may not but no harm done whatever.  Planted chillies into green house, sowed runners and sweetcorn

Just planted out my kelsae, bedfordshire champ and Ailsa Craig onions. They look lovely in their neat rows with not a weed in sight. I just have to keep it that way ! Looking a bit feeble next to the autumn sets though but then they will be in the ground a long time after they are harvested. I'll post a pic if I can find a way to reduce the size of it for posting.
Edit: also planted out a row of Figaro shallots. Got loads left over so need to make some space somewhere.

Just taken a quick walk over to show Mike's daughter and her o/h the plot. Pleasantly surprised to see some of the sweetcorn have started to germinate given the greenhouse is unheated, it's been close to freezing in their most nights and the only protection they have is some bubble wrap.

Quick trip to the other half plot, started rotovating and the heavens opened and I ended up soaked, - finished rotovating and came home.

Evicted most of the the brassicas from the green house, starting to run out of room again. Sown cucs, squashes, melons, sweetcorn, french beans, potted up some of the toms and potted on yet more seedlings. Lots more sowing still required though. Built a wind proof area for the brassicas to acclimatize before planting in their final positions and also limed the brassica beds, just before the rain started. Went home to cook the Sunday roast. Now enjoying a nice chilled glass of white. Happy Easter fellow allomenteers  :D

If you've got rain like we have it will do your brassicas good, nothing like rain to do them good.
