I opened and closed my cold frames and daydreamed of planting out my broad beans and onions. It's raining again...

Raining here all day, so didn't make it to the plot despite loads to do 
re-organised one of our 3 freezers instead!

Watered under the cloches, put chicken netting over the peas that the cat has decided to dig up.

Did some watering,potted on more toms,sowed primo golden acre, romanesco cauli, leeks mammoth, aubergine black beauty, butternut squash, sweetcorn earlibird f1, headstartf1, incredible f1, dolce. Sun bathing  while doing spot of weeding,then made a notice to go on the site gate KEEP GATE CLOSED ON ENTRY AND EXIT AT ALL TIMES, with permission from  the site runner, as it is doing my head in people leaving it open all the time as my lottie is first through the gate and people coming through thinking it is a short cut or dog walkers dogs messing next to my lottie

Managed to get up for an hour yesterday evening and put in the rest of my broad beans, also got in 3 rows of peas, Onward, Sugar Snap and Mange Tout. Tidied round the garlic and carrots then it got dark so I came home happy

Radish spring onion and little gem all planted in the ground in the poly tunnel. I have not grown them inside before has anyone any thoughts on this?

Cleared the last of the beetroot and leeks from the bed the potatoes are due to go in.
Repotted 15 lettuce plugs in trusty poundland cat litter trays and sowed a tray of leeks.

I have grown little gem in the greenhouse over winter. Radishes also growing nicely next to them and spring onions now showing through.

Ditto yesterday: opened and closed cold frames due to heavy rain. Now starting to get a bit bored of wet weather. If only we could swap a few wet days like this in spring for the odd rainy day in the summer...

Realised I had more chatted spuds than space in bed so "reclaimed" another bed to handle the excess.
Digging the two hours must have done me good!
Now waiting for it to warm up so I can plant them

Sowed more peppers (trinidad scorpion, bhut jolokia, jalapeno, californian wonder and padron)  as only 1 padron has germinated  a couple of cucamelons, some legend, ferline and Ace 55 VF I had left over and some Arnold rootstock now the sungold has germinated.

Went up the plot with intentions of doing some more tilling but  then the hailstone started,over in 5 mins didnt settle then came the rain for a while so ended up in the greenhouse repotting toms,peppers and sowing some runner beans

Been confined to barracks for what seems like ages as have the dreaded flu. Managed to get potatoes in before the snotty nose and hot sweats started but desperate to get outside and have a walk round the plots.
Peas sown in guttering have germinated well and need hardening off before going into the ground and have cauliflower and cabbage waiting in the cold frame. Feeling like a caged animal.
