Perfect day on the plot spread 5 sq yards of well rotted muck sowed all my onions and shallots sprayed off last few beds ready to turn over in a fortnight all in all a very productive day well pleased finally feel like I'm ready for this season

Potatoes now all planted, also planted two rows of broad beans and pricked out  the Kilaton cabbage.

Dug beds for and planted 300 onion sets. Same to do again but they will have to wait until post-Mother's Day.

One is slightly sunburnt.

Got the potato bed ready. Then planted all the seed potatoes in it!!!

Put out under netting, broad beans, peas, onions. These are hardening off ready to plant out asap!

Finally managed to plant my dwarf Medlar, Qunice, Gage, Cherry and Pear trees into their final positions and then spent a lovely, warm and happy afternoon mulching my fruit bushes, tending to the kiwi vines who are bursting into life, chatting with my plot neighbours and watching the bees do their business with my Blueberry plants

Put up a greenhouse.  need a few extra bits of glass now but all in all a good days work or three days work.

Hubby says . Owww, groan, creek, oh my back, cor blimey love....... Think I may need a paracetamol.

He asked for a rub with deep heat..... To which I replied stop milking it

Dug over the rest of the backgarden and sowed lots of seeds.

Went to lottie# 2, dug half of it over ready to put 2 big trays of kestrel 2nd's in, will do that tomorrow

On Sunday I should have been digging and rotovating but it was good to relax for once instead.

Off to buy gear oil tomorrow and then to the plot to see if 'Howard' is still willing to do a spot of work for me again this year.

   I do love that old machine.

Harvested the last couple of cabbages and dug over the bed. Put together a new blow-away greenhouse on the balcony and tidied up the pots on the balcony ready to do some sowing this week

Dug over all the fallow patches, now need a proper double dig and to box off the raised bed properly.

Unexpected afternoon off from collecting 2 grandsons from school, so potatoes in!

On annual leave for 3 days , so planted the potatoes and shallots , sown some more Beetroot and radish.
Gutterings now  ready for my peas cleaned ect,
Tomorrow I'm sowing my parsnips and broad beans.
Tempted to plant out my cabbages  , greenhouse is getting to warm for them it was 25c in there this afternoon.

Not at the plot but in the garden. Finished clearing the greenhouse of the last few tomato & cucumber pots.( plants went last  year). Then jet washed it, scrubbed it & re jet washed it & the slabs around it. Since by now I was some what wet & grubby I made a start on washing some of the 100s & 100s of mucky plant pots.
