5.30 - 7pm tonight was spent hoeing and weeding. Some more veg going in tomorrow night. Starting to look good now. :)

So far, got all the pea netting in place and watered assorted plants. Collected first egg laid by Bridey.

This evening, plant out more lettuce and maybe the Paris onions. Water the potatoes.

Tomorrow, start on weeding and digging the winter veg patch. Really not looking forward to it.

Planted 4 Baby Bear Pumpkins this morning, then spent the rest of the time weeding. Everything is growing but  slower than last year.

Removed 2 giant slugs from polytunnel and disposed of them.  One was having a go at an aubergine, and the other was munching a pepper.   Threw slug pellets about.

Left an association membership form in a prospective member's greenhouse.

Got wet and went home.  Very heavy rain. Nobody else about.

Cut another few square metres of turf from the lawn.... ready for the rotovator tomorrow.

Netted the transplanted strawberry plants - not a lot of flower but plenty of green fruit.

Bagged up lots of rubble removed from plot and took it to the tip.   This pm going to the tree surgeons to collect lots of bark chippings for paths.

Started digging through old compost pile from previous plot holders. Lot of carpet and plastic bags amongst some well rotted compost! They did like their carpet!  >:(
Bit more to go another day then will be putting my sweetcorn there. Hopefully will get better crop because of compost.

It had finally dried up a bit by yesterday evening so I ent ant tidied up. I mowed as best I could, weeded and tied up my peas. I gave everything that needed it a good dose of chicken manure pellets too. Things almost look tidy now until the weeds go mad again!!!

De-weeded the plot and planted out my butternut squash and courgette plants.
Sprayed the bindweed patch with glyphosate weed killer, hopefully it will eradicate it!

Spent much of the day in the garden - weather too good to waste!  :)

All sorts of general catch-up and maintenance jobs, but finally decided it was time my 'Incredible' sweet corn faced the big wide world planted outdoors despite what the weather forecasters are hinting might be in store tomorrow (they apparently grow to 7' which means they've still got about 6' to go - we shall see what happens...  ;))
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

I popped down to the plot to put in another 2 rows of carrots as my daughter has a newfound taste for munching on baby carrots. The ones I planted originally will not last long!!!  :)
