I'm going to be growing some chili peppers and different squash this year. The butternuts were a shambles so I'm going to try a few other squashes. I'm also going to give cucumbers a whirl this year.

RED sprouts? Not heard of those!
hi ive grown these for the past 2 years and never really had a good crop, this years are better than last but still not that good ,they are like broad bean seeds wont bother with them again waste of valuable garden space (my opinion) but hey they will be some growers out there who have had sucess with them, i grew them the same way as green ones and firmed them in well  and plenty of good manure too.darren

asparagus, white and black currants, zinnia and some unpronounceable flowers which I must've sent away for, but can't remember ticking the box  ::) (I'm a sucker for a seed catalogue, unfortunately)

I've got loads of new chilli varieties to grow in the polytunnel next year but I suspect we'll not get the same kind of summer like this year.

I've heard good reviews of cucumber Melonie so would like to try those.  Just one new potato variety, Novella but also sticking to my old faves.

Chinese cabbage was on this year's list but somehow missed sowing them, so on the cards for next year  ;)

I've not made my mind up yet, but most likely a few new winter squash varieties too.

Samphire   The slowest growing seedlings I have ever grown - they even made the cucamelons look speedy

Worth perservering with though DBG as I now have 2 pots of plants that have made nice pickings for adding to salads through the summer  :)

New to me next year (apart from my Real Seeds splurge I admited to on the seedaholic thread  ) are spaghetti squash, Tromba d'Albenga squash - that's MoS's fault though and I can't be blamed for that   :nowink: and a couple of new onions to try from seed  :)

Going to have a go at strawberries next year.

The other bit of fun is to grow all my own veggies ready for Christmas day. Not sure where I'll find the room but I'll find it. Will involve potatoes, swede, sprouts, carrots and parsnips.
