One of my favourite winter jobs is to sort the seeds out and make a start on a plan
This may be a Christmas treat rather than spend time watching rubbish on the TV
I don't pay much mind to best before dates on most seeds. I know some won't keep, but its always worth a germination test on some kitchen paper. I admit this approach is no use to those approaching seed box saturation point though
If you have overs, you can always join in our other winter seedaholic pursuit of seed swapping on the forum. Actually that doesn't help either does it
Just give in a buy another seedbox
