I was told keeping chickens was addictive, just had 10 more warrens totalling 24, good job I got plenty of folk after fresh eggs.. I couldn't pass them up at £35 for 10 could I

True but egg sales pay the food bill, couldn't keep up with demand this year so may make a tiny profit next year?

Well I think 35 quid for 10 hens is a bargain  :)

I dont think any of us really makes a profit on eggs, add up the time feeding/cleaning/extra treats then the cost of feed, vet bills I suppose if you sold them at 2 quid an egg you would make a profit

I would rather have an egg I know how old it is than from any supermarket

I keep my hens for their eggs and to watch their antics  ;)
It's all about the journey, not the destination
