Shallots and toms.
« on: October 25, 2013, 18:46 »
I cleared the last of the toms out of the GH today and was wondering what to do with the compost from the pots themselves. I've broken it up and put it in some large containers in which I intend to set some shallots next year. I will obviously add some goodies to the old compost, but essentially, will it be ok to grow shallots in?

Give it a go and let us know!
These are just my opinions based on what I have read, the filters my brain uses as a product of my upbringing, and the experiences I have had growing food. I am not intending to convince anyone I am right, just supply my opinion when it is asked for. I am also open to changing my opinions! Nick

don't see why not, as long as you beef it up enough for the shallots  ;)
