I have an A4 template of my plot - it's a word document with the raised beds, structures, perennials, shrubs and trees shown in the form of boxes and shapes. I print it up several times in colour and Then I can just scrawl what I want in the empty boxes. Works for me, I'm a pen and paper type of gal
