Yukon gold is much better than Mayan. It makes for superb roasted tatties and i am sure would make great chips. My husband wont let me not grow them!

we stuck to just Charlottes this with a few Juliettes.

We had some of them as new potatoes and left half of them to grow to main crop size.

We think they are the tastiest spuds we have grown to date and the ones left to maincrop make gorgeous chips, roasties and mash.

We have blight on our plot  and find that the Charlottes and Juliettes stand up to the rigours of life on our plot well.

With you all the way there, Mrs Bee! Our Charlottes have been the best we've ever grown, and there is still a 10' row to hoik out! The ones I dug yesterday have everything that they had several weeks ago, with no slug damage or wireworm to speak of!

I think next year, it will the same, with Annabel, and Charlotte being the only two we'll grow. The Annabel is a super first early, but there's not much of a yield. I liked the Lady Christl, but we'll grow less next year, so they'll probably not get to the cut..;0)
