She looks like a white hybrid to me but I'm no expert. One will be along shortly I have no doubt  :)  If she is a hybrid she will lay lots of eggs. I eggspect someone will be looking for her though. She does look a young one.  I'm saying "she" but I could be talking rot and it could turn out to be a boy, in which case she might be surplus to requirement and someone has let her go. He/she looks very clean so I'd deduce that she's been well cared for and that you might get a knock on the door soon. Perhaps you could put an advert in the local shop saying that you've found her/him  :)

Is she very clean?  If so, she can't have come far. If she'd been living out she'd be mucky

I think CQ is right, he/she looks very like my Amberlinks (aka amber stars, white stars)  although white stars are part leghorn and she doesn't have a floppy comb.

She does look very healthy, and chickens can't fly very far at a time, so she is either local, or like CQ said, dumped.

Hope it's not a cockerel..

Well it doesn't LOOK like a cockerel to me, fingers crossed!  But now you can see the beigey markings, its looks more like the Amberlinks than white stars!

If it's a cockerel then you could phone the RSPCA to see if they will take it in  :)  That is, if no-one local claims it

It looks a beautiful bird  :)

Hi, it's a lovely looking little thing. There seems to be a lot of feathers around. Is it moulting? Because it looks a bit young to moult. Maybe the shock of being lost etc. has caused her/him to moult prematurely.

she could be going through a partial moult which young hens go through. I agree she looks like an  amberlink and as such will lay many eggs for you  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.
