Green Spuds
« on: October 10, 2013, 12:54 »
Hi All! My main crop Romano (I think) spuds have a green tinge to them mainly on the outside when peeled. Are these quite safe to eat? They're kept in sacks in the garage BTW. Thanks Kev

They do say you shouldn't eat green potatoes, but if its only on the outside, I cut the green off.  But vulnerable people like children, old people and pregnant ladies shouldn't be eating them.

If they are going to be stored, the green will just get worse the longer they are in store I think, but I can only go by my own experiences.

Sounds like your potatoes grew too near the surface!  :(
