My next big chicken show of the season is looming up the weekend after next. Its on the Saturday at Selston Village Hall wich is on the Derby/Notts border or is that the the Notts/Derby Border ? I'm never sure.

Its one of the main events in my chicken showing calendar. I know its sad but I enjoy getting out and meeting similarly sad people  This year I'm showing several what should be white chickens, only they're not ! Infact they are rather grubby, so one night this week, sooner rather than later, I'm going to have to give them a bit of a scrub in warm mild soapy water. This cold weather is a bit of a worry though, I don't want to give them a cold so that they are sneezing everywhere and if I put them under a heat lamp, they might end up with a 'bad hair day' :shock:  See ! You don't realise what sort of pressure I'm under      This is just one of the many trials and tribulations of a chicken shower.

Bodger please post some pictures and of course give us all an account of your day. If the show was nearer for us. we would have come and supported you.

Five minutes ago. I sold £9.20 pence worth of candles.

I could do with strong winds and power cuts to boost sales

Will you sell alot of candles if there are powercuts though :idea:

Hi Chelsea Blue.

The show is on virtually all day a week tomorrow and there will be around four to five hundred birds for you to see.

If you google in Selston you'll find it and the Selston Vilage Hall is well sign posted. There will be refreshments and  Beebs poultry normally have a stand there with lots of poultry sundries for sale.
