cough ?
« on: September 29, 2013, 22:12 »
Can hens or cockerels have a cough ?

It sounds like one or more of my crowd has a cough, I hear it in the mornings and in the evenings

(i havent caught any of them having a crafty fag though)  ;)

They all seem pretty heathy apart from this cough :(
It's all about the journey, not the destination

I believe they can pepsi, best to have a closer inspection of them and see if they have any discharge from their eyes, nostrils or any odour from their beak.

I have one pepsi that coughs and sneezes

she has a mild mycoplasma problem - it is difficult to get rid of and can be contagious

luckily our birds are fully vaccinated and it just flairs up occasionally - if you notice any of the above symptoms get treatment sooner rather than later as mike my brilliant avian vet said it's more difficult to get rid of it if it gets well established
