I sowed peans early on in the season - firstly in guttering , then into the ground. Protected them with netting etc.
Had a few peas off, then they suddenly detiorated - in the space of 2-3 days went from full health to looking like I had sprayed weedkiller on them. They wilted, stopped producing pods and the plant had a greyish tinge to it

I had another go and sowed some into s container into compost - exactly same thing has happened....
I'm coming to the conclusion that peas aren't worth the room they take up but I don't like to be beaten...
Does anyone know what has happened?

Could be mildew or pea wilt. Seen other posts on here where peas have done the same thing.

Perhaps you need to try a different variety, some are more resistant than others

The other thing is they hate hot weather, and need a good soaking if it's dry
