I wish I could get mine to that size  ::)  :D

That's no help at all, but thought it needed saying  :nowink:

Tell me about it! Calabrese and collies - don't think I've ever got either more than about 2 inches across

Still, I'm determined to find something that works!

Would straightforward (ie no weed-killer or moss-killer) pasture fertilizer work? It works well for my leeks

I see that according to Mum's quote he prefers to got for pot luck when choosing between "its" and "it's", not that I'm trying to be picky or anything!!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Many people think that it's always needs an apostrophe.

It doesn't - look here if you are at all interested in this decidedly off-topic diversion   ::)

I'm really getting the impression that JayG isn't ever going to be impressed with Medwyns advice  :nowink:

Not a clue as I used the last of the sack last month, but it's by definition very high in nitrogen

I imagine it to be ammonium nitrate with some or other additive to stop terrorists turning it into a cheap and cheerful explosive by combining it with an equally cheap and cheerful addition
