I watch my blueberries ripen but never get to eat them    They are covered in fleece but that doesn’t stop the blackbirds who simply find a way under it and help themselves 

 I think that need a fruit cage!

I am growing them in containers on the patio so it will need to be free standing. I am petite so dont want anything that I have to man handle on and off to get my blueberries for breakfast.

The ones on HH need to be sunk into soil and the Gardman ones dont allow access.

Has anyone out there got any recommendations/suggestions?

I use an old frame from a large cloche, plus a school table frame and put the netting over those well weighted around the ends with bricks. I clear it all away once the last blueberry has been picked.

Canes with upended bottles will do the job and support the netting far enough away from the bushes that the blackbirds cannot reach the berries. They are persistent aren't they?
