Are F1's more likely to ripen together??

I was told by one of the old boys on the plot that F1 broccoli and Cauli will all produce their curds at the same time, that this seed was produced for farmers so that they would all be ready for harvest at the same time so I assume the same is true of all F1's and that is why all the tomatoes ripened at the same time.
