green pepper

hi...i was giver a few pepper plants    they have fruit the size of a tennis ball,,,when to pick them,,,aslso theres a black mark on the skin,,any idea what this is  ty

Ooh the black mark could be blossom end rot if near the bottom.
They do sometimes have the odd mark running through them - at least my green ones have but they were still fine.

They go the way of toms when you get blossom end rot.
I don't eat them. It's up to you to try cutting off the bottoms and seeing if the rest is ok - I have no idea whether this is a good idea. :unsure:

But if you pick them off they should produce more fruits. Mine tend to keep going for a while.
I make sure I feed and water mine regularly like toms. :)

Is it a mark or a rotted piece? If rotted use the green bits or throw them away so the plant can hopefully flower and set some more - and water regularly from now on  ;)

If it's just a dark coloured patch then happy days  :) - some peppers get black patches that slowly turn to red as they ripen.
