At this time of year I find myself constantly chopping veggies for eating and freezing.  So i am thinking about buying a vegetable chopper, manuel or electric.  I have up to 20 pounds to spend - any recommendations please?

I have a pampered chef chopper, love it but its still rubbish, great for chopping onions and beetroot but that is about it.

Not the easiest to clean but stops that onion smell on your hands.

Barley I can put together a salad for six people in no time.
I can get every vegtable exactly the same size for DD wraps.
It can slice potatoes for a topping in seconds.
It all packs into one box.

I bought a Pampered Chef one at one of those parties where you spend far too much money on things you hardly ever use, and it was the biggest waste of money I've spent for a long time, and I am very good at wasting money.  I think it was about £16 for the chopper and I have hardly ever used it, it is painful on my hand, fiddly to wash up, fiddly to dry..
As you will gather I am quite bitter about it  The only good thing was that I got a free baking tray with it which is excellent and I use it all the time.  
I also later found a chopper virtually the same at the pound shop!
I eventually got one of these [size=78%]http://www.johnlewis.com/kenwood-ch180-mini-chopper-food-processor/p230843343[/size] which cost less and is good for breadcrumbs and onions. Almost as fiddly to wash, but doesn't hurt my hands.

I've got a food processor with attachments, I've got a little cheap manual food processor which I bought for £5 to save electricity, and I have a mandolin that I've had since the early 90's when we had the catering business.

I've got an apple corer too, is that what you mean Madame Cholet?  I don't use it much though.  But makes a nice neat hole when you are doing a baked apple!
