Plum Tree Covered in Wasps
« on: July 23, 2013, 20:31 »
Hello all,

May I ask for a bit of advice please.  I have just been down the garden following today's rain showers, and my plum tree is covered in wasps.  Last year I suffered from many of the fruit being damaged by a small grub which I thought was laid by wasps.  I was advised to put a pheromone trap in the tree which has been there since May, but I'm not sure that's for the same issue.

So, can I do anything about the wasps at this point in the season, and indeed, do I need to do anything or am I just becoming paranoid?  I would really like to enjoy a few more plums this year.

Many tanks in advance.

HM

dont think the wasps will be a problem they will possibly be feeding on the aphids which will be on the tree they will however become a problem with ripe plums or any fruit in the autum
