Maincrop going to seed?

I've never grown maincrop spuds, these are rooster, Found what looked like little toms on some yesterday, is that them going to seed? I nipped them off, have i done the right thing or doesn't it matter either way? Thanks  :)
It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder how i keep from going under......

Doesn't matter and they often do it.....don't eat them, they're poisonous.

Ive always chopped them off if they grow, its because they are closely related to the tomato.

Also related to deadly nightshade, which is why you don't eat them.

I will be chopping any off this year due to the fact we have florence and she thinks its safe to pick and eat, i dont usually bother with them i just leave them.

My Spuds do this each & every year, leave them be they will not affect your crop.
But as already said don't eat them.
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.

I meant that they are form same family thats why they grow tomato from top sometimes. Yes dont eat them!

I'm sure that was not wil's intention and it doesn't necessarily follow. It may cause them to think that.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I've a few seeds on my sarpo miras just cut them off, they look oddly appetising for something poisonous

I wasn't going to try any culinary delights with them  ;), was just wondering whether or not they might be taking energy from the plant but thanks to everyone here, don't need to worry!!  :D
