Don't laugh! My neighbour gave me a pumpkin plant recently and today I noticed a courgette on it, which I cut off for tomorrow's dinner. But then half way home I started to worry, do pumpkins look like pumpkins from the start, or would my courgette have turned into a pumpkin? Or was my neighbour just mistaken? I can't believe I don't know this!  :blink:

I don't think my pumpkins have ever looked like courgettes, but I've only tried growing them twice!

Mine sort of looked like stumpy courgettes but they were only a few inches long certainly not courgette length  once they got bigger they swell out.

ok I'm reassured now, this was proper courgette size, in fact, another day or two and it'd practically be a marrow!

does look like a courgette when it's little, but they are fine eaten smaller, so no need to worry, either way

Its finally gone cooler tonight in the last hour, thank the courgette god for that. Infact my son has just said he is cold can we close the windows..........  Errrrrr NO 

I think it must have been courgette by the sound of it.
