The hungry sailors, spotted dickie

Caught the end of this episode today and they made spotted dick with redcurrants. Looked amazing but i cant find the recipe anywhere.

Any ideas

The recipes might appear on ITV's website, although it doesn't look that likely at the moment. If the programme has only just aired, it's possible. Or maybe they'd prefer you to buy their book.

If you can't find the recipe written down somewhere, did they give enough information whilst showing the dish being cooked for to watch back on their iplayer thingy and pick up what you need to know?  :unsure:

The hungry sailors added redcurrants but traditional spotted dick has currants in or raisins

Looks good. :) So could you not just make that again and mix redcurrants through it? As you'd normally use currants or raisins......  :unsure:

My 15 year old says that sounds too healthy  ::) yes i will do next time, i might make a redcurrant puree instead of the jam.
