First fruit harvest
« on: July 07, 2013, 08:49 »
Yesterday gave my first real fruit harvest (I'm not counting the strawberries as my daughter gobbles those before I've spotted them :-D) and I came home with 823g of black currants! Anyone have a good jam recipe?

Loads of lovely ones in the recipe section on here. I may try a pie with mine.

Oh! Lucky you! How lovely! All my fruit bushes are babies, planted last autumn and I don't think that I will be getting more than a taste at most this year! Enjoy your jam. :)

Thanks I'll have a look.

I'm also planning to make rhubarb and ginger jam which I'm looking forward to tasting.
